Winter Solstice Celebration

Join us for a  relaxing evening to celebrate the festive season. Our 2011 winter solstice celebration will be held on Thursday 15th December at Tom Brown's Pub, 47 High West Street, Dorchester, DT1 1HU from 7pm onwards. All are welcome.

The next meeting of West Dorset Humanists - Thomas Hardy and the Poetry of Unbelief

The next meeting of West Dorset Humanists will be held on Thursday 24th November, 7.30pm at the Wessex Royale Hotel, High West Street Dorchester. John Hubbard - who teaches English at Bournemouth School - will explore in this talk a selection of Hardy's verse with readings and commentary, trying to discover what Hardy made of the world in which he lived, and how he sustained himself in it.
